On Monday 23rd March 2020 we suspended our face to face counselling service until further notice. To ensure we continue to support families in Lache and Blacon with their mental health, we’ve developed an adapted service. This will offer clients:-
1.Ongoing therapy sessions via telephone or face to face sessions using video communication such as WhatsApp.
2. Ongoing coaching sessions via telephone or face to face sessions using video communicationsuch as WhatsApp.
3. A virtual ‘drop in’ option for individuals who are
a) Accessing the service via option 1 and 2 and experience an unforeseen additional stressor.
b) Not ready for therapy but want an opportunity to periodically talk through issues as and when they arise. This may be a first step to more in depth engagement once the community setting option returns.
c) In need of signposting to other local services being maintained during this time, for example debt advice and food banks.
After initial contact and options 1-3 being offered, a client may opt to defer the service until they can re-access therapy within the community settings. However, if the client changes their mind, they will be welcome to get back in touch with us.
We’re in contact with all existing clients and those on our waiting list to agree a way of working based on the above model which best meets their individual needs and requirements. We’ll review this on a regular basis and seek feedback from our team and clients to help refine and improve it wherever we can.
Any clients who need to get in touch with us should ring or text Laura Nield on 07552 219806
We’re still accepting new referrals and details of how to make a referral can be found here
