There’s a lot of discussion around mental health currently- to try and understand why it appears to be worsening in so many people young and old. What we can do to address this and stop it limiting the next generation?

Provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

 

Mental Health Foundation

Focus on prevention and have been pioneering change for 70 years. Aim to ensure everyone enjoys good mental health. Useful source of statistics around mental health and wellbeing.

 

Young Minds 

Leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges.  Good source of information about mental health issues amongst young people and associated statistics.

 

Children’s Commissioner 

Promotes and protects the rights of children, especially the most vulnerable, and stands up for their views and interests. Research into the challenges children face and then pact these have on their health and wellbeing.

 

The King’s Fund  

Independent charity working to improve health and care in England. Has a number of articles and reports about mental health provision in the UK and how it can be transformed.
