Social Impact report 2020-21

This social impact report tells the story of our charity over 2020-21 financial year, the families we have supported and the impact this has had on their lives.

The last year has been like no other, a roller coaster of lockdowns and restrictions that have negatively affected the nation’s physical and mental health. This has

particularly been the case in high deprivation areas like Blacon and Lache where we work. Our clients have been disproportionately affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and for many our service has been a life line.

The evidence of our impact detailed in this report is based on client evaluations, end of counselling questionnaires, case studies, testimonials and feedback from clients and referrers. Counselling has led to significant changes in clients’ lives including:-

  • Building more positive family and peer relationships.
  • Accessing education when they’d previously not been able to.
  • Making successful transitions from primary to high school.
  • Applying for work.
  • Feeling able to take on more responsibility in the workplace including promotions.
  • Feeling more able to deal with other challenges in their life.
